Abstract: ABSTRACT MULTI-MODAL SUGARCANE DISEASE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WITH DYNAMIC BIOLOGICALLY-INFORMED FUSION A multi-modal sugarcane disease diagnosis system (100) comprises a visual analysis module (110) comprising a convolutional neural network configured to receive a leaf image and generate a first probability vector over a plurality of disease classes, and an agronomic context module (120) comprising an attention-based deep tabular classifier configured to receive agronomic feature data from a structured questionnaire and generate a second probability vector. A dynamic multi-modal fusion engine (130) receives the first probability vector and the second probability vector and executes a dynamic fusion algorithm comprising eleven biologically-informed heuristic gates evaluated in a cascading priority order. The dynamic fusion algorithm establishes baseline weights, evaluates each gate until a first matching gate is identified, adjusts the baseline weights and modifies at least one probability vector based on the first matching gate, and computes a fused probability vector. An output module (140) generates a disease diagnosis based on the fused probability vector.
