The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a multi-planar fixing support insulator (100) for use in a switchgear enclosure (102). The insulator includes an insulating body (104) formed from a dielectric material to provide electrical insulation between conductive components and earthed components of the switchgear and at least two metal inserts (106) embedded within the insulating body (104), each metal insert configured with one or more fixing holes positioned at one or more locations of the metal insert (106) to enable adjustment and attachment of the metal insert (106) to the components of the switchgear positioned in multiple planes. The support insulator (100) is configured to support one or more busbars (108) or one or more cantilevered components positioned in varying spatial orientations within the switchgear enclosure (102), thereby enabling a multi-planar fixing and maintaining dielectric separation between the one or more busbars (108) and the earthed components of the switchgear.
