Abstract: The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for predictive micro-turbulence anticipation in an aircraft using onboard edge-computing. The system comprises a plurality of sensors (101) configured to acquire raw, high-frequency atmospheric and inertial data, including Total Air Temperature rate of change, static pressure micro-fluctuations, and Angle of Attack variance. A pre- processing unit (102) performs wavelet-based time-frequency decomposition to extract high-frequency detail coefficients associated with atmospheric instability. A neural inference engine (103), including a processor and memory, executes a hybrid CNN-LSTM model to identify non-linear turbulence precursors and compute a turbulence probability score and time-to-encounter estimate. An output controller (104) compares the computed score with predefined thresholds and generates preemptive alerts on a cockpit interface (106) and optional control signals to a flight control computer Interface (107). The invention enables early anticipation of clear air turbulence, enhancing flight safety, passenger protection, and aircraft structural integrity.
