Inventors include Mrs. Lekshmi V Nair; Ms. K. S. Damayanthi; Ms. S. S. Poornima; Ms. R. Samprithaa; and Mr. M. Mahibalan.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wearable multi-sensor patch designed for continuous monitoring of physiological parameters associated with sleep apnea during sleep. The proposed system provides a compact, non-invasive, and convenient solution for home-based physiological monitoring. The wearable patch integrates sensors for monitoring respiration, ECG or heart rate, body temperature, and peripheral blood oxygen saturation (Sp02). The simultaneous acquisition of these parameters enables continuous observation of multiple physiological changes occurring during sleep. An ESP32-based microcontroller collects and processes the sensor data and wirelessly transmits the information to a cloud-based platform for storage, monitoring, and pattern analysis. Intelligent analysis techniques are utilized to identify potentially abnormal physiological patterns associated with sleep-related breathing disturbances. The monitored data and analysis results are made accessible through a mobile application, enabling convenient remote monitoring. Upon detection of an abnormal physiological condition, the system generates a mobile alert, thereby supporting timely awareness and providing an integrated approach for intelligent home-based sleep monitoring. KEYWORDS: Wearable Multi-Sensor Patc, Sleep Apnea Monitoring, Physiological Signal Monitoring, Respiration Monitoring, ECG and Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen Saturation (Sp02), ESP32, Internet of Things (IoT), Pattern Analysis and Abnormality Detection, Mobile-Based Health Alerts.
