MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065420 A) filed by Harshal Gautam on May 24, 2026, for Multi-Stage Oscillatory Impact Energy Absorption System For High-Energy Impact Protection..

Inventor includes Harshal Gautam.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an impact energy absorption system configured to mitigate high-energy impacts through staged oscillatory energy transfer. The system comprises an impact receiving element (100), a plurality of intermediate stages (110) arranged sequentially along an impact axis, one or more interaction regions configured to transfer energy, force, displacement, or combinations thereof between adjacent intermediate stages (110), and a terminal energy dissipation element (200). Upon impact, energy is progressively transferred through adjacent intermediate stages (110), thereby inducing oscillatory motion through staged displacement and restoring interactions. The intermediate stages (110) comprise progressively varying oscillatory characteristics including an oscillation frequency gradient and corresponding oscillation amplitude variation configured to facilitate controlled staged redistribution of transferred impact energy while maintaining transmitted acceleration within a selected range. Residual transferred energy is dissipated through the terminal energy dissipation element (200) by one or more damping mechanisms.
