MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068903 A) filed by Aditya University; Aditya College Of Engineering And Technology A; Aditya College Of Pharmacy A; and Aditya Degree College on June 02, 2026, for Multi-Stimuli Responsive Colorimetric Indicator System For Environmental Exposure Monitoring And Method Of Preparation.

Inventors include Prakash Nathaniel Kumar Sarella; Veerabhadra Swamy Padavala; and Vinny Therissa Mangam.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a multi-stimuli responsive colorimetric indicator system (100) configured to visually detect environmental exposure conditions including temperature, light exposure, oxidation, and humidity affecting sensitive products during storage, transportation, and packaging, thereby enabling real-time environmental exposure monitoring, improving storage-condition verification, and enhancing product stability assessment of pharmaceutical products, biologics, vaccines, food products, and other environmentally sensitive materials. The multi-stimuli responsive colorimetric indicator system (100) comprises a substrate (102) and plurality of portions (104). Each of the plurality of portions (104) comprises at least one responsive indicator composition (106) configured to generate distinct reversible or irreversible visual color transitions corresponding to environmental exposure conditions associated with smart packaging and product stability monitoring. The multi-stimuli responsive colorimetric indicator system (100) improves storage-condition verification for pharmaceutical products, biologics, vaccines, food products, and other environmentally sensitive materials.
