Abstract: 6G wireless systems are rapidly evolving and need intelligent communication systems that can efficiently manage a substantial amount of multimodal data with low latency and energy consumption. This research introduces a new multimodal generative AI-based semantic communication framework for 6G Wireless Systems, which combines multimodal semantic extraction, generative AI, semantic encoding, adaptive wireless transmission and semantic-aware decoding. The information (text, speech, image, video, sensor data, etc.) is not redundant but rather reduced to a compact task-relevant representation of meaning. A generative AI module reconstructs the necessary information, based on transmitted semantics and the context, and a channel-aware compression and adaptive resource allocation optimizes communication based on the channel conditions, bandwidth, latency and task importance. An additional semantic feedback mechanism enhances transmission/generation quality. Semantic similarity, task accuracy, latency, spectral efficiency, energy consumption, bandwidth reduction and robustness are all possible evaluation measures for the framework. The proposed concept could serve as a basis for an AI-native 6G communication and intelligent applications in the fields of IoT, autonomous vehicles, XR, medical services and machine-to-machine communication.
