Abstract: The present invention relates to a nanomaterial-based LPG detection system designed to enhance safety and efficiency in detecting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The system comprises a sensor element featuring metal oxide nanostructures doped with transition metals, which detect LPG by altering electrical resistance upon exposure. This sensor element is integrated with a hybrid composition of carbon-based materials, such as graphene, to improve sensitivity and selectivity. A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) component is included to facilitate miniaturization and portability, while an integrated heating element maintains optimal operating temperatures for rapid response. The system also includes an auditory alarm system for alerting users upon LPG detection and a power supply and management system to ensure reliable operation. The sensor element is engineered to distinguish LPG from other gases, including methane, propane, and CO2, and is designed to function reliably under diverse environmental conditions, maintaining its characteristics for over a year without significant degradation.
