MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068616 A) filed by Dr. N. Varalakshmi; Prof. O. M. Hussain; Dr. G. Murugudoss; and Prof. B. Ramya Kuber on June 01, 2026, for Nanostructures For Supercapacitor Applications And Method Of Synthesis Thereof.
Inventor includes Dr. N. Varalakshmi.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: Nanostructures for supercapacitor applications and method of synthesis thereof are disclosed. Said nanostructures broadly comprise: a precursor solution that comprises manganese chloride tetrahydrate, nickel chloride hexahydrate, cobalt chloride hexahydrate, ammonium fluoride, and distilled water; and a homogeneous surfactant-fuel solution that comprises sodium dodecyl sulfate, urea, and distilled water. Said precursor solution and said homogeneous surfactant-fuel solution are in a volume ratio of about 1:1. The disclosed nanostructures (and/or method) offer at least the following advantages: superior electrochemical performance; improved charge storage capabilities and faster kinetics; improved capacitive behaviour; efficient ion transport; excellent rate capabilities; excellent conductivity and structural integrity during long term operations; and/or excellent reversibility and durability under repeated charge-discharge conditions. Figure to be included is Figure 14.
