MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617009732 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd. on January 30, 2026, for Negative Electrode And Lithium Secondary Battery Comprising Same.
Inventors include Kim, Ki-Hyun; Lee, Hongkyung; Choi, Bokyung; Kim, Yun-Jung; and Lee, Do-Joong.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A negative electrode according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a negative electrode active material layer; a first protective layer; and a second protective layer, wherein the negative electrode active material layer includes at least one of lithium or a lithium alloy, the first protective layer includes a polyalkylene oxide, the second protective layer includes a polyvinylidene fluoride-based polymer, and the second protective layer has a porosity of 10% or less. In the negative electrode, the growth of lithium dendrites is suppressed and porosification is prevented. In addition, the negative electrode can have high ion conductivity even when including the protective layers, and can ensure stability and excellent mechanical strength.
