Abstract: TITLE: NEUROGUARD- A BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE SYSTEM FOR FEAR DETECTION AND AUTOMATED SAFETY RESPONSE APPLICANT: PRETHIVI RAJ ELANGOVAN ABSTRACT The present invention discloses NeuroGuard - A Brain-Computer Interface system for fear detection and automated safety response. The Brain-Computer Interface system of the present invention comprises a wearable EEG sensor[1], a data processing unit[2], and a communication module[3]. The wearable EEG sensor[1] is adapted to be placed right above both ears on either of the scalp and configured to capture EEG signals in real-time and transmit the signals to the said data processing unit[2] by LoRa wireless technology. The data processing unit[2] is coupled to the wearable EEG sensor[1] adapted to receive signals from the wearable EEG sensor[1] and configured to process the signal by a machine learning model trained to classify fear responses based on neural signatures as presence of fear-related signal or absence of fear-related signal in which the machine learning model continuously learn and adapt to an individual’s unique EEG patterns, thereby increasing precision and reliability of detection. The communication module[3] is coupled to the data processing unit[2] and adapted to be triggered by the data processing unit[2] upon identifying the presence of fear-related signal and configured to transmit alerts to pre-identified recipients along with real- time location of the wearer thereby providing early intervention to mitigate harm and enabling rapid response to high-risk situations.
