MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641118045 A) filed by Forus Health Pvt Ltd. on October 01, 2026, for Neuromorphic Camera-Based Ocular Measurement System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Antony, Justin; and Venkatakrishnan, Srinivasan.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A neuromorphic camera-based ocular measurement system is disclosed. The system comprises a co-axial dual-sensor optical assembly configured to illuminate a retina through an undilated pupil using near-infrared light and to acquire retinal image data along a common optical axis. The optical assembly includes a frame-based image sensor configured to capture anatomical retinal images and an event-based image sensor configured to acquire an asynchronous retinal event stream comprising timestamped pixel-level events responsive to changes in local illumination intensity. A processing module generates anatomical landmark information, performs dynamic background subtraction on the event stream, and derives stabilized retinal event data. The processing module generates a retinal vascular map, identifies vessel-associated measurement regions, determines retinal blood-flow characteristics, and computes one or more vascular parameters. The system provides quantitative retinal vascular assessment and physiological monitoring using a single, dye-free, real-time imaging modality.
