MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641064056 A) filed by Jubin J Kurichiyil; Antony N P; and Varsha Paul on May 21, 2026, for Neutral Ph Hybrid Ionic–non-Ionic Agricultural Adjuvant Composition With Enhanced Agrochemical Compatibility..

Inventors include Jubin J Kurichiyil; Antony N P; and Varsha Paul.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a neutral pH hybrid ionic–non-ionic agricultural adjuvant composition designed to enhance the performance and compatibility of agrochemical formulations. The composition comprises linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) neutralized with sodium hydroxide, combined with a non-ionic surfactant system, silicone oil as an anti-foaming agent, Span 80 for improved spreading, and amino acids for supporting plant health, all dispersed in demineralized water. The formulation maintains a stable pH around 7, overcoming the limitations of conventional high-alkaline adjuvants that may cause phytotoxicity or chemical instability. It exhibits excellent compatibility with copper sulphate, pesticides, and fungicides without precipitation or degradation. The adjuvant improves wetting, spreading, and adhesion on leaf surfaces while minimizing foam formation during application. It is effective at low dosage levels, making it cost-efficient and suitable for large-scale agricultural use. The preparation method is simple, scalable, and does not require complex processing conditions.
