MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621049833 A) filed by Dr. Sonali R. Chintamani on April 19, 2026, for Next-Generation Multi-Mechanistic Antiviral Foliar Formulation For Integrated Plant Virus Management.

Inventors include Dr. Sonali R. Chintamani; Dr. Ravindra N. Chintamani; Mr. Swapnil B. Shinde; and Mr. Sagar C. Londhe.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: Next-Generation Multi-Mechanistic Antiviral Foliar Formulation for Integrated Plant Virus Management The present invention discloses a synergistic antiviral agrochemical soluble liquid composition comprising Ningnanmycin in a concentration ranging from 5 to 25 percent by weight, Acibenzolar-S-methyl in a concentration ranging from 0.1 to 2.0 percent by weight, and chitosan oligosaccharide in a concentration ranging from 0.5 to 5.0 percent by weight, integrated within a co-solvent–dispersant stabilized system including propylene glycol (10 to 30 percent by weight), sodium polyacrylate (1 to 10 percent by weight), and a non-ionic surfactant (1 to 5 percent by weight) and maintained at a pH of 5.5 to 6.8, wherein the composition forms a homogeneous soluble liquid matrix exhibiting antiviral efficacy of 85 to 91 percent inhibition, systemic resistance induction of at least 4.5-fold PR-protein expression, and stability of at least 95 percent active retention, thereby providing a multi-mechanistic, stable, and industrially applicable crop protection system.
