Abstract: ABSTRACT This invention describes an hyperintelligent, autonomous early warning system for predicting landslides and other forms of subsurface geological ground failure, known as NexTerra. It makes use of IP67-rated, solar-powered Internet of Things (IoT) field units which contain a variety of geological sensors—such as soil moisture probes, deep vibration geophones, and ground tilt meters—that are placed at intervals of 50 to 100 metres over areas that are prone to such hazards. The system sends continuous streams of geological data through a decentralised LoRaWAN mesh network and has the ability to automatically switch to 4G and satellite communication as a backup. An AI-powered multi-sensor fusion engine checks and verifies the subsurface data streams and examines the dynamic geological correlations in order to calculate real-time risk scores while avoiding false alarms. The system allows for predictive risk assessment, automatic dynamic threshold evaluation, and the generation of real-time alerts through automated APIs to disaster management authorities, issuing these alerts up to 24 hours before structural failure occurs, thus reducing both loss of human life and severe damage to infrastructure.
