MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065457 A) filed by Anjali Guleria on May 24, 2026, for Nitrogen Doped Carbon Quantum Dots, Method Of Preparation Thereof And Synthesis Of Diverse Heterocycles Therefrom.

Inventors include Anjali Guleria; and Nirmal Jyoti.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT “NITROGEN DOPED CARBON QUANTUM DOTS, METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF AND SYNTHESIS OF DIVERSE HETEROCYCLES THEREFROM” The present disclosure relates to nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots comprising an extract of Plectranthus amboinicus as a carbon source and folic acid as a nitrogen source and a method of preparation thereof. The present disclosure also relates to a process for synthesis of heterocyclic compounds by utilizing the nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots as catalyst. The present disclosure provides a single ultrafast process of synthesis for five types of heterocyclic scaffolds namely quinoxaline, fused quinoxaline, pyrazine, fused pyrazine, and benzothiazoline derivatives.
