Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: NIYAM-ADHARIT HINDI SHABD TOOLKIT (RULE-BASED HINDI WORD TOOLKIT) The present invention discloses an integrated computer-implemented system and method for rule-based Hindi word processing comprising a plurality of interconnected processing modules operating through a common lexical-morphological representation (230). The system (100) includes an input layer (110), a pre-processing layer (120), a word processing layer (130) and an output layer (140). The processing modules comprise a word form analysis module (150), a word form generation module (160), a part-of-speech tagging module (170), a word frequency counter module (180), a keyword-in-context finder module (190), a lexical form finder module (200), a Devanagari-Roman transliteration module (210) and a grammatical words finder module (220). The modules share a common lexical-morphological representation (230) such that output generated by any one module is directly reusable by other modules without redundant processing, enabling bidirectional morphological processing of Hindi word forms.
