MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641093961 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on August 03, 2026, for Non-Invasive Wireless Switch-Toggling System For Operating A Rocker Switch.
Inventors include Samyukktha K P; Sahana Sen; and E. Papanasam.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a non-invasive wireless switch-toggling system (200) for operating a rocker switch (106). The system (200) includes a controller (202) having a processor (204), a memory (206), and a wireless communication interface (208) configured to receive ON and OFF commands from a user device. A servo driver (210) generates servo-control signals based on control instructions from the controller (202). A first servo motor (212) actuates the rocker switch (106) toward an ON position, and a second servo motor (214) actuates the rocker switch (106) toward an OFF position. Each driven servo motor returns to a neutral non-obstructing position after actuation to permit manual operation of the rocker switch (106). The system (200) includes an acoustic feedback module (216) configured to detect a characteristic acoustic signature of switching for confirming actuation and calibrating servo movement without modifying associated internal electrical wiring.
