Inventor includes Dr. Priya P. Shetti.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel formulation of apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomal gel for the management of psoriasis thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to the preparation of novel formulation of apigenin—and -quercetin loaded—ethosomes. The—invention also involves— characterization of developed optimized novel formulation of apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomes by particle size and polydispersity index (PDI), percentage entrapment efficiency (% EE), zeta potential, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The invention also pertains to the preparation of novel formulation of apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomal gel. The invention also comprises the evaluation of novel formulation of apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomal gel by considering parameters such as pH, viscosity, spreadability, in-vitro drug release and ex-vivo skin permeation studies. The invention also consists of stability studies of novel formulation of apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomes as well as apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomal gel. The invention encompasses the pre-clinical experimental effects of novel apigenin and quercetin loaded ethosomal gel by in-vitro cytotoxicity studies using MTT assay and in-vivo anti-psoriatic studies in mic
