Abstract: 6. ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The patent disclosure covers Novel System, Design and Method of Artificial Intelligence (Al)-Powered Smart Sustainable Shopping Support System for Environmental Conscious Consumer. The present invention relates to an Al Enabled Smart Sustainable Shopping Support System designed to assist environmentally conscious consumers in making informed and responsible purchasing decisions. As online shopping platforms continue to expand, product recommendations are primarily generated based on factors such as price, popularity, customer ratings, and purchasing trends, while sustainability-related information is often limited or difficult to interpret. The proposed invention introduces an intelligent decision-support framework that analyses product information using sustainability parameters including material composition, packaging characteristics, recyclability, environmental certifications, estimated carbon footprint, and product durability. Based on the evaluated information, the system generates an Eco Score and provides personalized recommendations that align with both consumer preferences and environmental priorities. The invention further incorporates an Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) module that presents transparent justifications for every recommendation, enabling consumers to understand the environmental impact of their purchasing decisions. In addition, an adaptive learning mechanism continuously refines recommendation accuracy by analysing user interactions and updated sustainability information. By integrating artificial intelligence with sustainability assessment and personalized decision support, the proposed invention promotes responsible consumption, enhances consumer awareness, and encourages environmentally sustainable shopping practices. The invention can be effectively deployed across e-commerce platforms, digital marketplaces, mobile shopping applications, and other intelligent retail ecosystems, thereby supporting global sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible consumer behaviour.
