As modern transportation systems demand prolonged driving periods, driver fatigue has emerged as a major catalyst for road accidents, requiring immediate, automated monitoring solutions. The proposed system continuously analyzes the driver's physiological and behavioural state alongside vehicle telemetry, utilizing inputs such as eye closure rates (Eye Aspect Ratio), yawning frequency, head posture, steering wheel grip pressure, and lane deviation metrics. Operating as a closed-loop system, the framework dynamically processes this multimodal contextual data to compute a real-time driver fatigue index. Based on the assessed drowsiness severity, the system automatically triggers a tiered escalation response, ranging from localized haptic and auditory alerts to proactive vehicle deceleration and automated emergency contact dispatch. Additionally, the system integrates a localized feedback mechanism that adapts to individual driver baselines over time, significantly minimizing false positives.
