MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641070323 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 05, 2026, for Octopuses-Based Optimization Algorithm-Based Uav Swarm Path Planning For Precision Agriculture.

Inventor includes Dr. J. Sengathir.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: This invention targets on the process of identifying minimal number of UAVs that can cover the event that could possibly occur during precision agriculture. It helped in establishing the cooperation between UAV swarms by exchanging vital information that helps to optimize the resource utilization degree in precision agriculture. It assisted in establishing the objective of facilitating reactive and adaptive replanning in unpredictable environments. It handles the process of multi drone path planning by considering the constraints associated with flight safety and strategies of spatial and temporal coordination It also improved search process and convergence by effectively simplified the search process by satisfying the real-time constraint and converged evolutionary depending on the increase in the number of iterations. It achieved robustness and reliability even under the failure of some specific UAVs by utilizing adaptive behaviour that adjusts the real time constricts of the network in a reactive manner.
