Abstract: The present invention provides an open-source intelligence (OSINT) threat scoring system and methodology for assessing cyber threat sources is presented. This system comprises a Survey unit and an Interview unit, both designed to gather domain expertise directly from a Threat Analyst or Security Expert. A Threat Intel Quality Criteria module extracts quality standards based on the acquired expertise. Furthermore, a Feature Selection and Regression engine utilizes these quality criteria to develop a predictive Model that encapsulates domain knowledge. An ingestion unit compiles unstructured threat data from various Unrated Threat Intel Sources, such as Twitter and blogs. Lastly, a scoring module employs the predictive Model on these unrated sources to calculate and generate Scores for Threat Intel Sources aimed at facilitating threat detection and monitoring. FIG.1
