MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094969 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited on December 03, 2024, for Operating Handle Construction With Panel To Direct Conversion On Site.

Inventor includes Nayak, Rohan Rajesh.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a low voltage switchgear, specifically an Operating Handle Assembly (51) with enhanced safety and convertibility features. The assembly includes an Operating Handle Arm (52), a Direct Handle Shaft (12), and a Handle Base Assembly (22) with a Coupler (24) and Drive Plate (25). The system allows for on-site conversion between Panel Handle and Direct Handle versions. In the Panel Handle version, the handle is mounted on a Mounting Door (30) and connected via a Panel Handle Shaft (29). The Direct Handle version involves direct mounting on the switch mechanism (100) using a Shaft Locking Screw (14). Safety features include a Padlock Lever (53) and Padlock Pin (55) to prevent disassembly in padlocked conditions. The design eliminates complex manufacturing processes, reducing costs while ensuring reliable operation and safety during maintenance.
