MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617060193 A) filed by Compagnie Generale Des Etablissements Michelin on May 12, 2026, for Optimised Airless Tyre Carcass Produced By Additive Manufacturing Using A Material Reinforced With Long Fibres.

Abstract: The invention relates to a carcass (24) for an airless tyre (1) produced by additive manufacturing, wherein the carcass (24) comprises various structural elements (25) formed by depositing a printing material (21) using a nozzle (12), wherein the printing material (21) comprises a percentage P of long fibres (15) coated in a thermoplastic matrix (16), wherein the structural elements (25) are produced by continuous deposition of the printing material (21), and wherein the reinforcement by the long fibres improves the load capacity and the mechanical strength of the carcass (24).
