Inventors include Dr. V. Jyothsna; Mr. Syed. Zeba; Mr. A. Sreekar Reddy; Mr. T. Surendra Babu; and Mr. V. Jeevan.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an email classification system; an innovative and secure email classification system comprises a data collection unit (110) for gathering email data from sources such as the EMAILS-NLP dataset, a preprocessing unit (120) with machine learning algorithms for cleaning the data by applying tokenization, stop-word removal, and lemmatization, and a feature extraction unit (130) that extracts feature information required for email classification using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF- IDF). The system includes a feature selection unit (140) for optimizing features using Sand Cat Swarm Optimization (SCSO) algorithm. The system consists of a classification unit (150) with XGBoost and AdaBoost models to compare and segregate emails into spam (280) and legitimate (ham) (290) emails. The system also includes a notification unit (170) that alerts users about detected spam emails to ensure high email security.
