Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a handheld intraoral lesion measuring device designed for quantitative and reproducible assessment of intraoral soft-tissue lesions and swellings. The device comprises an elongated handle supporting a measuring head with a pair of expandable measuring arms configured to measure lesion width and a centrally positioned spring-loaded depth probe configured to measure lesion height or depth. Lesion width is indicated by circumferential calibration markings provided on a rotatable adjustment knob that controls symmetrical expansion of the measuring arms. Lesion depth is indicated by calibrated scale markings provided directly on the shaft of the depth probe, which undergoes controlled vertical displacement upon contact with the lesion surface. The measuring mechanisms operate independently and are entirely mechanical, enabling accurate, atraumatic, and cost-effective intraoral measurements suitable for routine clinical use, documentation, follow-up evaluation, and research applications.
