Orthopaedic shoulder implant further comprises taper adapter having proximal portion configured to couple with tapered inner cavity of humeral head and distal portion comprising a stem post, where taper adapter comprises a reference marker positioned at an intermediate layer. Further, orthopaedic shoulder implant comprises humeral stem having an angled taper hole configured to receive the stem post of taper adapter, where orthopaedic shoulder implant system is configured such that an alignment of reference marker on the taper adapter with selected one of the plurality of offset markers on the humeral head establishes an offset derived from natural bone anatomy of a patient.
