Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to paging messages for devices, for example, ambient Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In an aspect, a first device receives a paging message from a second device. The paging message is associated with first information and includes second information. The first information identifies at least one device and the second information indicates at least one paging cause. In the case that the first information identifies the first device, the first device performs at least one operation based on the second information. In this way, the content of the paging message is re-designed and optimized for devices, such as, ambient IoT devices, thereby enabling paging procedure for the ambient IoT devices and improving efficiency of paging procedures for these devices.
