Abstract: Rapid growth in campus populations has led to increased vehicle usage, resulting in parking congestion, time wastage, and inefficient utilization of available parking spaces. An Intelligent Parking Management System (IPMS) for a campus aims to address these challenges by integrating smart sensing, real-time data processing, and user-friendly applications. The proposed system uses sensors and cameras to monitor parking space occupancy and transmits data to a centralized server for real-time analysis. Users can access parking availability through a mobile or web application, enabling guided parking and reducing search time. The system also supports automated entry/exit control, vehicle identification, and parking space allocation based on user type (students, staff, or visitors). Data analytics and machine learning techniques can be employed to predict peak demand, optimize space utilization, and support campus traffic planning. By reducing congestion, fuel consumption, and emissions, the Intelligent Parking Management System enhances operational efficiency, improves user convenience, and promotes sustainable mobility within the campus environment.
