MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126845 A) filed by Bapatla Surendra; and Irukumalli Priyanka on October 24, 2026, for Passive Vibration-Dose Witness With A Flexure-Suspended Inertial Plate In A Yield-Stress Gel And Sedimenting Particles.

Inventors include Bapatla Surendra Babu; and Irukumalli Priyanka.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: PASSIVE VIBRATION-DOSE WITNESS WITH A FLEXURE-SUSPENDED INERTIAL PLATE IN A YIELD-STRESS GEL AND SEDIMENTING PARTICLES A passive vibration-dose witness (100) has a sealed shell (102) completely filled, without gas, with a yield-stress gel. An inertial plate (108) hangs on a flexure (110) that carries its weight, between two gel layers (112, 114) bonded to the shell, so that the gel holds no stress at rest. The plate resonates above the host band; when its displacement exceeds the yield strain times the layer thickness the gel yields, and dense particles (122) in a band (120) settle only while it yields. The particle diameter lies between ten swollen-microgel diameters and 4.2 * tau_y / ((1 + N) * (rho_p - rho_l) * g), so that the particles neither fall through the solvent nor creep at rest. With published gel data the witness records above 1.60 g at 14.5 Hz, ranks vehicle lives by weld damage at 0.98 and drifts under 0.003 mm in ten years. It is read through a window (124). FIG. 1
