Abstract: The present invention relates to an Autonomous Weight-Activated Passive Retractable Ramp Assembly for providing accessibility between roads and footpaths in urban environments. The assembly comprises a weight-sensing platform, a pre-tensioned threshold spring mechanism, a kinetic linkage assembly, and a retractable ramp deck configured to deploy automatically upon detection of a user load above a predefined threshold. The downward force exerted by a wheelchair or pedestrian mechanically actuates the ramp without requiring electricity, sensors, or motors. A mechanical toggle-lock maintains stability during use, while a hydraulic or pneumatic damper ensures controlled retraction after load removal. The system further includes anti-slip surface treatment, self- cleaning scraper blades, and gravity-fed drainage channels for enhanced safety and durability. The invention provides a compact, weather-resistant, energy-neutral, and space-saving accessibility solution for public infrastructure.
