MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411093391 A) filed by Jecrc University on November 28, 2024, for Patient-Care Enabled Speed Regulation System For Ambulances.

Inventors include Dr. Ajay; Vikash Choudhary; Sarita; Nachiket Sankhla; Dr. Deepak Kumar; Dr. Narender Kumar; and Dr. Pravin Kumar Singh.

Abstract: A patient-care enabled speed regulation system for ambulances, comprises of a body 101 developed to be installed on a dashboard of an ambulance, a fingerprint sensor 102 performs authentication of driver of ambulance, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 monitor facial expressions of driver, an OCR (optical character recognition) module reads vital health parameters of a patient seated in ambulance over a display arranged inside ambulance, a GPS module fetches location of a nearby hospital to minimize time duration, an analyzer module evaluates best suited route for hospital, and an obstacle detection sensor 104 detects presence of any obstacle in vicinity of the ambulance with a proximity sensor 105 monitors distance of obstacle.
