MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063613 A) filed by Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering, Pune; and Mrs. Nameeta Sunil Sane on May 20, 2026, for Pervious Concrete Composition Comprising Agricultural Ashes And Bio- Based Admixture And Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Mrs. Nameeta Sunil Sane.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT PERVIOUS CONCRETE COMPOSITION COMPRISING AGRICULTURAL ASHES AND BIO-BASED ADMIXTURE AND METHOD THEREOF The invention relates to a pervious concrete composition (100), a method (200) for preparing the same, and a pervious concrete block formed therefrom. The composition (100) comprises cement (102), coarse aggregates (104), rice husk ash (106), sugarcane bagasse ash (108), and rice starch (110), wherein the rice husk ash (106) and sugarcane bagasse ash (108) partially replace cement (102), and the rice starch (110) stabilizes pore structure. The method (200) comprises incorporating (202) the rice husk ash (106) and sugarcane bagasse ash (108), introducing (204) the rice starch (110) during mixing, and curing (206) to form a hardened matrix. The invention further provides a pervious concrete block comprising an interconnected pore network formed from the composition (100), wherein the pore network is stabilized to maintain permeability under loading conditions. The composition (100) exhibits compressive strength of 9–12 MPa and permeability of 3.5–4 mm/s, suitable for pervious pavement applications.
