MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531049300 A) filed by School Of Pharmacy, Techno India University, West Bengal on May 22, 2025, for Ph Adjustable Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel And The Method Of Preparation For The Same.
Inventors include Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Parimi; Mrs. Sancharee Mondal; Dr. Beduin Mahanti; and Mr. Subrajit Sahoo.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a synergistic combination of natural bioactive polymer and phytochemical composition and the formulation made by the said combination. It contributes to the management of Dry eye disease management and thereby helps in the health of corneal epithelium. The combination of Hyaluronic acid and Delphidin (phytoconstituent) shows potential pH alteration and stable polymer and drug components. Chemical and biological perfonmance testing has evaluated the synergistic stability of the combination. In vitro-in vivo simulation data suggests this innovative step could solve existing problems with Hyaluronic acid and other biomaterial-based ocular hydrogels performance.
