MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617073107 A) filed by Danyang Huichuang Medical Equipment on June 12, 2026, for Phototherapy Device For Treating Alzheimer'S Disease And Associated Conditions Thereof.

Inventors include Wang, Daifa; Guo, Genmiao Number; and Zhao, Xiaojing.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present application relates to a phototherapy device for treating Alzheimer's disease (AD) and associated conditions thereof. The phototherapy device comprises a supporting mechanism and an array of near-infrared irradiation units. The device emits near-infrared light into an accommodating space, and when a subject’s head is in place, the irradiation of the emitted near-infrared light to the subject’s head meets synergistic irradiation conditions with respect to an irradiation surface area proportion of a reference cranial region surface area and an irradiation power level, wherein the reference cranial region surface area is the outer surface area of the surface of the subject’s head within a total boundary line, the total boundary line starts from a glabella point, passes along brow ridges through preauricular points on both sides, circles around the inion and converges between electrode positions O1, OZ and O2 of the 10-10 international standard electrode placement system, and the irradiation surface area proportion can be as low as 30% and can also be as high as 65% or more. The device can achieve robust and sustained significant therapeutic effects of a treatment subject's AD and associated conditions thereof.
