MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617070129 A) filed by Commissariat A L'Energie Atomique Et Aux Energies Alternatives on June 04, 2026, for Piezoelectric Transducer Made From Lithium Niobate.

Inventor includes Navacchia, Frdric.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a piezoelectric transducer (1) comprising a front electrode (10a), a rear electrode (10b) and a piezoelectric ceramic (50) made from lithium niobate. The method comprises: a step (a) of depositing a layer (40a, 40b) of metal bonding primer on each opposing face of the ceramic (50); a step (b) of depositing, on each electrode (10a, 10b), a compliance layer (20a, 20b) made from an electrically conductive material with Tfusion 700°C and drupture 20%; a step (c) of placing a strip (30a, 30b) based on an Ag-Cu alloy on each layer (40a, 40b) of bonding primer; a step (d) of forming an assembly (60) by stacking the elements in this order (10a, 20a, 30a, 40a, 50, 40b, 30b, 20b, 10b); a step (e) of compression-brazing the assembly (60) in a furnace at more than 450°C in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
