The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for isolating sections of a pipeline to perform hydrostatic testing using significantly reduced volumes of water. The system employs a cryogenic freezing unit to deliver a controlled stream of refrigerant to a predetermined section of the pipeline, forming a stable ice plug that isolates the desired section. Temperature sensors monitor the external pipeline conditions, and a pressure monitoring system ensures the integrity of the ice plug during testing. The control unit dynamically regulates the cryogenic freezing process, adjusting refrigerant flow based on real-time temperature and pressure data. This method minimizes water consumption while maintaining the safety and accuracy of the hydrostatic test.
