Abstract: The titled invention discloses a PLC-based automated alignment system for soap bars using a double-acting pneumatic cylinder (2). The system is designed to ensure precise positioning and orientation of soap bars on a conveyor system (5) to improve 10 packaging efficiency. It incorporates a plurality of sensors (4) to detect the presence and alignment of soap bars, and a programmable logic controller (PLC) (1) to process input signals and execute control actions. Based on the sensor feedback, pneumatic control valves (solenoid valves) (3) are actuated to drive the double-acting pneumatic cylinder (2), which performs accurate bidirectional motion to correct misalignment. The 15 system operates in real time, enabling continuous and reliable alignment without interrupting production flow. An air compressor and air supply unit (6) provide compressed air for pneumatic operation, while a mechanical guide mechanism (9) assists in maintaining proper movement and positioning of the soap bars. The system reduces dependency on manual labor, minimizes product damage, and enhances 20 uniformity in packaging. The inclusion of a control panel comprising a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) (7) allows easy monitoring and adjustment of system parameters, and a power supply unit (8) provides electrical power to the system components.
