Abstract: TITLE: PLC-BASED SMART WARDROBE WITH AUTOMATED GARMENT 5 MANAGEMENT 10 15 20 The titled invention discloses a PLC-Based Smart Wardrobe with Automated Garment Management for automating garment organization, retrieval, and maintenance in smart home environments. The system employs a DELTA DVP-14SS2 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (1) to coordinate proximity sensors (2), relay modules (4), 12 V DC gear motors (3), a chain conveyor mechanism (5), a garment hanger mechanism (6) , and a 240 V garment steamer (7) using ladder logic programming. Upon activation, the wardrobe automatically initializes to a home position, detects garment locations through the proximity sensors (2), and positions the selected garment for user access with high precision. An automated maintenance cycle activates the garment steamer (7) for a predetermined duration while the garment hanger mechanism (6) rotates slowly to ensure uniform steam distribution and wrinkle reduction. A power supply unit (9), buck converter module (8), and Battery Management System (BMS) (10) provide regulated and reliable power for uninterrupted operation. The invention reduces manual effort, improves garment care, enhances organization efficiency, and integrates industrial- grade automation technology into a practical smart wardrobe solution for modern residential applications.
