MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082875 A) filed by Velammal Engineering College on July 06, 2026, for Pneumatic Fluid Transfer Pump And Method For Continuous Cavitation-Free Multi-Fluid Delivery.

Inventors include Dr. M. Deepak Kumar; D. Dineshbabu; Dr. S. Satish Kumar; and Dr. E. Ganapathy Sundaram.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a pneumatic fluid transfer pump and method that delivers continuous, cavitation-free flow of diverse fluids without wet rotating parts. The pump comprises dual sealed chambers [101] and [102] alternately pressurised by a directional control valve [103] and a shuttle-valve mechanism [106]. A filter- regulator-lubricator assembly [107] conditions the 10 compressed air, while level and pressure transducers [108] provide feedback to a micro-controller [109] that modulates cycle time and air pressure. The design eliminates cavitation, reduces maintenance, and is intrinsically safe and submersible, making it suitable for water treatment, agricultural irrigation, and industrial process fluid handling.
