Abstract: The present application provides a point cloud decoding method, a point cloud encoding method, a decoder, an encoder, and a computer readable storage medium, which are applied to the technical field of point cloud encoding and decoding. The point cloud decoding method comprises: determining decoding grouping information on the basis of a target feature of a target point cloud. In the attribute decoding process, the decoder groups first reconstruction position points by means of the grouping information to obtain a plurality of groups. Further, the decoder performs attribute decoding on each group. In the decoding solution provided in the present application, on the basis of one or more of default information at a codec end or information parsed from a bitstream of the target point cloud: point cloud characteristic information, bounding box information, encoding parameter information, and target parameter information, the decoder determines the decoding grouping information. Thus, in the present application, the grouping information is determined on the basis of diversified features related to the target point cloud, thereby improving the grouping diversity and facilitating improvement of the decoding performance of the point cloud.
