Abstract: A portable adjustable tree trunk cleaning device (100) is disclosed. The device (100) comprises a body member (102) having a substantially curved configuration adapted for positioning around at least a portion of a tree trunk, a handle assembly (104) coupled to the body member (102), a brush assembly (106) comprising one or more smooth hair brushes (108) and one or more hard bristle brushes (110), and one or more detachable connecting portions (112) configured to selectively connect one or more body segments (114). The one or more detachable connecting portions (112) permit circumferential adjustment of the body member (102) for accommodating tree trunks having different diameters and cooperate with the one or more body segments (114) to provide an adjustable circumferential cleaning structure. During operation, the device (100) is positioned around a tree trunk, circumferentially adjusted according to a diameter of the tree trunk, maintained in an adjusted circumferential configuration, and moved upwardly and downwardly along a tree trunk surface, whereby the one or more smooth hair brushes (108) and the one or more hard bristle brushes (110) facilitate simultaneous cleaning of a plurality of circumferential regions of the tree trunk. The portable adjustable tree trunk cleaning device (100) is particularly configured as an orchard maintenance device for facilitating tree trunk cleaning and maintenance during horticultural maintenance, pest management, and dormant season treatment operations.
