MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082766 A) filed by Sr University on July 06, 2026, for Portable Carbon Sequestration System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Yogesh Padmakar Khadke; Gurunadham Goli; and Dr. Vikrant Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: PORTABLE CARBON SEQUESTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT A portable carbon sequestration system (100) for deployment at a remote emission source (102) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising an inlet manifold (104) to receive an emission stream from the remote emission source (102); a filter assembly (106) to remove contaminants from the emission stream received through the inlet manifold (104); a sorbent chamber (108) to capture carbon dioxide from the filtered emission stream; a thermal regeneration unit (110) to release captured carbon dioxide from a sorbent material disposed within the sorbent chamber (108); a compressor (112) to compress the released carbon dioxide; a storage vessel (114) to store the compressed carbon dioxide; a telemetry unit (116) to generate operational data associated with carbon dioxide capture and storage; and a processing unit (120). The system (100) enables autonomous on-site carbon dioxide sequestration at remote emission source(s) 102 through a transportable platform without reliance on permanent carbon capture infrastructure.
