MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124186 A) filed by Dr. Seeni Mohamed Aliar Maraikkayar; Sabah Afroze; Dr. Tamil Selvi; and Dr. Parisa Beham on October 16, 2026, for Portable Multisensor Medical Device For Non-Invasive Assessment Of Dehydration Using Skin Impedance And Physiological Parameters.

Inventors include Dr. Seeni Mohamed Aliar Maraikkayar; Sabah Afroze; Dr. Tamil Selvi; and Dr. Parisa Beham.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable multisensor medical apparatus intended for the non-invasive assessment of hydration levels through skin bio-impedance and various physiological indicators. The device includes a bio-impedance acquisition unit that is outfitted with electrodes for both current injection and voltage measurement, enabling the gathering of raw bio-impedance data during controlled diuretic testing as well as typical daily routines over a 24-hour span. The gathered raw data is transmitted via Bluetooth to a user interface device, which displays real-time metrics such as resistance, reactance, and impedance. Furthermore, this data is also sent through a USB connection along with body weight measurements to a data processing unit. This unit performs Linear Regression, Bioelectrical Impedance Vector Analysis (BIVA), and Statistical Analysis modules to accurately evaluate whole-body hydration status in a non-invasive way. FIG.1
