Abstract: This project presents the design and development of a Portable Personal Computer (PC) powered by a Raspberry Pi, aimed at providing a compact, cost-effective, and energy-efficient computing solution. The system integrates a Raspberry Pi single-board computer with essential peripherals including a touch-enabled display, rechargeable battery pack, keyboard, and Wi-Fi connectivity within a custom portable casing. The device supports a lightweight Linux-based operating system and common productivity applications, enabling functionalities such as web browsing, programming, document editing, and multimedia playback. The objective is to create an affordable, portable computing platfomi for students, developers, and remote users, especially in resource- constrained environments. The implementation highlights hardware integration, power management, and user interface design, showcasing the versatility of the Raspberry Pi in embedded and mobile computing applications. The aim is to create a lightweight, battery-powered computing device that is both affordable and functional, targeting users in education, fieldwork, remote areas, and hobbyist communities. The portable PC is built using a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, integrated with a touch-enabled LCD display, compact wireless keyboard with trackpad, and a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery pack that provides several hours of uninterrupted usage. The system runs on a Linux-based operating system (such as Raspberry Pi OS), offering access to a wide range of applications including programming environments (Python, Java), office tools (LibreOffice), web browsers, and media players.
