Abstract: ABSTRACT PORTABLE READY-TO-DEPLOY ADAPTIVE PARKING INTELLIGENCE DEVICE FOR PUBLIC SPECIAL EVENTS The invention presents a portable and rapidly deployable smart parking management system for real-time vehicle counting, occupancy estimation and parking availability prediction. A custom portable deployment unit [P-RAPID] comprises of a low-cost IP camera, edge device, network switch and battery backup, enabling rapid installation and operation across multiple locations. The system operates without the need of permanent sensor installations, predefined parking slots and extensive manual calibration. The device automatically learns vehicle movement patterns and generates entry and exit counting lines without manual configuration. Vehicle trajectories comprising centre coordinates, speed, direction, and vehicle identity information are continuously analysed to identify dominant movement corridors and automatically update counting line geometry. The generated calibration parameters are applied to the running system through a hot-reload mechanism, enabling continuous operation without interruption. The system employs a YOLOv8 ONNX model for vehicle detection, ByteTrack for multi-object tracking, and automatic number plate recognition for vehicle identification and logging. Occupancy information, trajectory records, number plate logs, video segments, and operational metadata are synchronized to a cloud platform for real-time monitoring and digital twin representation of the monitored location. A web-based dashboard provides occupancy visualization, analytics, zone management, navigation assistance, and parking availability information across multiple locations. FIG. 1
