Abstract: This project aims to discuss the development of a portable smartphone-based uroflow meter system that has the ability to measure and analyze the urine flow rate in real-time by utilizing the concept of digital sensing and smart processing of the collected data. Generally, the measurement of urine flow rate has been carried out by using conventional equipment in hospitals, which are not portable or capable of monitoring the urine flow rate in real-time.The conventional methods used to determine the urine flow rate may be inconvenient and costly, and may not provide real-time results to the patients or doctors. However, the new system aims to provide a portable device that has the ability to measure the urine flow rate by utilizing the suitable sensors to determine the urine flow rate, volume, and duration, and transfer the collected information to the smartphone by utilizing the wireless technology Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.The device has the ability to transfer the collected information to the smartphone, which has the ability to analyze the collected information and provide the most accurate results. The system offers faster response, better accessibility, and user-friendly operation. This innovation is highly useful in healthcare applications, especially for home-based monitoring and early detection of urinary disorders.
