Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable thermoelectric storage apparatus (100) for temperature-controlled storage of insulin. The apparatus (100) comprises an insulated storage chamber (102), a thermal-spreading plate (106) disposed beneath the storage chamber (102), and a thermoelectric cooling module (108) having a cold side thermally coupled to the storage chamber (102) through the thermal-spreading plate (106). A heat-rejection region (112), physically separated from the storage chamber (102), is associated with a hot side of the thermoelectric cooling module (108) and comprises a plurality of heat sinks (114). A cooling fan (116) establishes directed airflow across the heat sinks (114) towards a ventilation outlet (120). The thermal-spreading plate (106) distributes the cooling effect within the storage chamber (102), while the separated heat-rejection region (112) and directed airflow reduce transfer and recirculation of rejected heat towards the storage chamber (102), thereby providing controlled portable insulin storage.
