Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable wireless device for remote monitoring and operation control of overhead crane management systems (100). The system comprises a portable wireless handheld unit (110) having a touchscreen display module (112), microprocessor unit (114), wireless communication module (116), and rechargeable battery pack (118) communicating bidirectionally with an overhead crane assembly (120) through a wireless gateway module (130). The overhead crane assembly (120) includes a sensor array module (122), crane motor drive controller (124), on-board data acquisition unit (126), and programmable logic controller (128). A safety interlock and emergency stop module (160) ensures fail-safe operation. A cloud-based remote monitoring server (140) provides predictive maintenance analytics through a data analytics engine (142) and alerts through a mobile application interface (150).
